The Hart and the Hunter

The Hart was once drinking from a pool and admiring the noble figure he made there. "Ah," said he, "where can you see such noble horns as these, with such antlers! I wish I had legs more worthy to bear such a noble crown; it is a pity they are so slim and slight." At that moment a Hunter approached and sent an arrow whistling after him. Away bounded the Hart, and soon, by the aid of his nimble legs, was nearly out of sight of the Hunter; but not noticing where he was going, he passed under some trees with branches growing low down in which his antlers were caught, so that the Hunter had time to come up. "Alas! alas!" cried the Hart: forest.

The Mother Crab and Her Son

One day a mother crab asked her son “Why do you walk in a crooked line” my child? “You should walk in a straight line” The young crab replied, “So show me, Mother, and I will follow.” The mother failed to do what she asked of her son, and never spoke of it again.

The Dog and The Crocodile

Once there was a farm near a river. At the farm, there were a lot of animals. A mother dog lived in this farm with its five puppies. She loved her puppies very much.

One day, there was a crocodile coming from the river. It ate a puppy and went back to the river. The mother dog was very sad and she was sure that the crocodile would come to eat her puppies again.

So, she ran to the barn and said, “Please help me, the crocodile will come to eat my puppies again.” But, no animals would to help her. “I cannot help you. The crocodile was big and very fierce,” said a horse. “I agree,” said an ox. The mother dog then walked to ask the donkey, but he also said “No.” This made her despair.

Therefore, she left the barn and cried under a tree. At that time, a black dog passed by. “Why are you crying” asked he. After the mother dog told him her story, he said, “Don’t be afraid. I will bring my friends to help you.”

The next day, when the crocodile came to farm to eat another puppy, the mother dog whined for help. The black dog heard her whine and quickly ran to the farm with his friends. Although the crocodile was big and fierce, all the dogs fought without fear. Some dogs died, but others still fought bravely. The crocodile was hurt so badly that it had to run back to the river. “Thank you very much. My puppies and I will never forget your help. From now on, we will live here safely,” said the mother dog.

The Lion, the Fox, and the Beasts

The Lion once said that he was sick on his death bed. So he asked all the animals to come and hear his last wishes. The Goat came to the Lion’s cave. He stood there and listened for a long time. Then a Sheep went in. Before she came out, a Rabbit entered to hear the last wishes of the King of Beasts

But soon the Lion seemed to recover, and went to the mouth of his cave. He saw a Fox waiting outside. “Why don’t you come in?” asked the Lion to the Fox. “I beg your Majesty’s pardon,” said the Fox, “I have seen many animals enter your cave, but none of them came out. Till they come out again, I prefer to wait outside.”

The Lion and the Eagle

An eagle stayed his flight and asked a lion to make an alliance with him to both their benefit. The lion replied, "I have no problem with that, but I need you to give me something so I can trust your word. Because how can I trust anyone as a friend who is able to fly away from his bargain whenever he wants?

This story teaches you that.

The Raven and The Swan

A raven saw a swan and wanted the same beautiful feathers. Thinking that the swan's splendid white color came from his washing in the water in which he swam, the raven left moved from his neighborhood and took up residence in the lakes and pools. However, cleansing his feathers as often as he would, he could not change their color, and eventually starved from lack of food.

This story teaches you that.
“Change of habit cannot alter Nature.”
